directors you elect. You can be confident that
financial privacy is a top priority of your
credit union. This notice describes how we
protect the privacy of your personal
information, and gives you an opportunity to let
us know if you do not want certain information
about you disclosed to other businesses.
In the course of providing services, we collect
information about you, personal information that
is not publicly available. Energy Credit Union
does not sell membership lists or your nonpublic
personal information. We do, however, share some
information about you with other companies in
order to complete your transactions and to
provide you with certain financial service

Information Energy Credit Union Collects About

Energy Credit Union collects the following

age, assets, income and telephone

Information Energy Credit Union Discloses About
You
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal
information about our members and former
members, except as permitted by law, such as to
our data processor and for purposes of
collecting loans.
Energy Credit Union does not share information
with other businesses about former members,
co-borrowers and guarantors, except as permitted
by law.
We may disclose information about you as
permitted or required by law, such as to our
legal counsel, bonding company or law
enforcement agencies. Furthermore, we may share
information about you with the following types
of businesses:
● Financial service providers, such as
insurance services.
● Non-financial service companies such as
collection agencies.
Some of these companies that we may also
disclose part or all of the information we
collect, as described above, market the credit
unions services or are other financial
institutions with which we have joint marketing
agreements. Energy Credit Union enters into
business arrangements only with businesses that
we believe will provide our membership with
competitive financial products and that follow
strict confidentiality requirements to assure
that any information shared is safeguarded. In
no instance does Energy Credit Union provide
your account number or any information that will
allow companies marketing their financial
services to access your account without your
express consent.

Energy Credit Union Protects Your Information
We restrict access to information about you to
those employees who need to know that
information to provide products or services to
you. We maintain physical, electronic, and
procedural safeguards that comply with federal
regulations to guard your personal information.
We want to bring to your attention that there
may be instances where you erroneously believe
the credit union has released personal
information about you. For example, information
about a secured loan you may have from our
credit union may be publicly available in local
government records, and a business has compiled
this information in order to market you a
product that this credit union does not endorse.
As a member of our credit union, we remind you
that you have a responsibility to safeguard your
financial information by protecting your
identification access numbers and reviewing your
